Boating is a popular activity on the 2,120 acre lake at Buck Creek State Park. The unlimited horsepower lake provides great opportunities for water skiers, power boaters as well as sail boaters, kayakers and fishermen. Please note that the entire north end of the lake is a no-wake zone. A six-lane public boat launch ramp located just north of the public beach provides easy access to the lake.
The Marina at Buck Creek State Park offers a range of services. There are 184 seasonal docks as well as concession docks. The marina concession also provides fuel, a restaurant and a bait shop for convenience items.
The 184 seasonal docks are available through the boat dock lottery which takes place on the third week of September each year.
Applications are accepted only during the month of August for the drawing in September. Applicants need not be present at the lottery to obtain a dock.
Winners will be notified via mail and must pay for their first dock year between February and March of the following year.
Dock fees are $29 per dock foot, per season (fees are subject to change).
A season is April 1 - September 30. Winners obtain a five-year dock lease.
